Bred in South Africa by Robin Hood Seeds, Violet Bag crosses Berries and Astringent Gas with a Grape Rock Candy x Banana Butter Cups hybrid. The aroma is floral and grape-like, with a sweet berry note, a whisper of banana cream and a soft chemical gas behind it, and the linalool-forward profile gives it a perfume quality that is rare in a sativa-leaning flower.

Violet Bag is a purple-flowering, sativa-leaning cultivar selected in-house for its deep violet colour, dense resin and floral, grape-like aroma. The grower has not disclosed the full parentage, so we describe it by what is in the jar rather than by pedigree.
Sativa-leaning, but gentle. The lift is clear and mood-brightening, and the body relaxes with it. It is not racy, and it is not a knockout strain.
Anthocyanins, the same pigments that colour blueberries and red cabbage, express strongly in this cultivar when night temperatures drop late in bloom. Our growers manage the room to bring the colour out without stressing the plant.
