The grinder that doesn’t grind
Every grinder you’ve owned has teeth, and every one of them tears trichomes off the flower, cakes them into the corners and leaves you with a dusty, uneven pile. The Flower Mill was designed in the USA to fix exactly that. It has no teeth at all: a fluted knob rolls the flower across a precision stainless plate so the bud crumbles along its natural lines into a fluffy, uniform, resin-intact grind.
This is the Next Gen Standard in 2.0″, finished in pink anodised aircraft-grade aluminium. Three pieces: magnetic top, milling chamber with stainless mill plate, and a quick-release lower catch for the pollen that falls through.
Dixie Jane is the exclusive South African importer, and the Flower Mill is what our own team uses at the counter. Once you’ve milled a bud instead of shredding it, the difference in how it burns, and how it tastes, is obvious on the first draw.

How it works
Toothless milling
Twist the knob back and forth, level, with light pressure. The flutes on the knob roll the flower over the plate and it falls through as it reaches size. No teeth means no trichome shear, no sticky build-up and no fine dust; the grind is fluffy, consistent and burns evenly in a joint or bowl.

Flower Mill Next Gen Standard 2.0″ Pink: Frequently Asked Questions
A Flower Mill has no teeth. Instead of shredding flower against sharp pins, a fluted knob rolls it across a precision-cut stainless plate so the bud crumbles where it naturally wants to break. The result is a fluffier, more uniform grind with far less trichome loss, no sticky teeth to clean and no kief caked into the corners.
Break the flower into a few smaller pieces, drop them into the chamber, seat the knob and twist it back and forth while keeping it level. Very little downward pressure is needed; the plate does the work. A full chamber mills in a few seconds.
The 2.0″ is the compact mill for one to two grams at a time, small enough for a pocket or a stash box. If you regularly grind an eighth at once or share, step up to the 2.5″.
Both are toothless and both take swappable mill plates. The Premium adds thicker walls, a taller, wider knob with 20 aggressive flutes for a faster mill, a removable pollen screen with a deeper lower catch, and, on the Stainless Series, a food-grade stainless milling chamber. The Standard is the same idea in a lighter, more affordable anodised-aluminium body.
Yes. The mill plate lifts out and swaps with a #1 Extra Fine, #2 Fine, #4 Coarse or #5 Extra Coarse plate, sold separately. Fine plates suit dry-herb vaporisers; coarse plates keep joints and bowls burning slow and even.
Because there are no teeth, cleaning is a wipe with a soft brush and, when needed, a soak of the plate in isopropyl alcohol. Anodised aluminium and stainless steel are dishwasher-safe in principle, but hand washing keeps the finish new.
Yes. Dixie Jane imports Flower Mill directly from the manufacturer in the USA; we are the exclusive South African importer. Any manufacturing fault is handled by us in Cape Town rather than shipped back overseas.
