The last grinder you’ll buy

The Premium is the Flower Mill taken as far as it goes. Same patented toothless principle, the knob rolls the flower across a stainless plate so it crumbles rather than shreds, but built heavier, faster and more completely.

This is the Next Gen Premium 2.5″ Stainless Series: 6061 aircraft-grade aluminium exterior, food-grade stainless steel milling chamber. Twenty aggressive flutes on a taller, wider knob mill a full 3.5g chamber in a couple of twists, a removable pollen screen sits above a deep quick-release catch, and the #3 Medium stainless mill plate it ships with swaps in seconds for a finer or coarser one.

For members who mill every day, or who care about the difference between a fluffy, resin-intact grind and a dusty one, this is the piece of kit we recommend without hesitation. Dixie Jane is the exclusive South African importer.

How it works

Toothless milling

Twist the knob back and forth, level, with light pressure. The flutes roll the flower over the plate and it drops through as it reaches size; the pollen screen below catches the fines. No teeth means no trichome shear, no sticky build-up and a grind that burns slow and even.

Flower Mill Next Gen Premium 2.5″ Stainless Series: Frequently Asked Questions

What is a toothless grinder and why is it better?

A Flower Mill has no teeth. Instead of shredding flower against sharp pins, a fluted knob rolls it across a precision-cut stainless plate so the bud crumbles where it naturally wants to break. The result is a fluffier, more uniform grind with far less trichome loss, no sticky teeth to clean and no kief caked into the corners.

How do I use it?

Break the flower into a few smaller pieces, drop them into the chamber, seat the knob and twist it back and forth while keeping it level. Very little downward pressure is needed; the plate does the work. A full chamber mills in a few seconds.

Can I change the grind size?

Yes. The mill plate lifts out and swaps with a #1 Extra Fine, #2 Fine, #4 Coarse or #5 Extra Coarse plate, sold separately. Fine plates suit dry-herb vaporisers; coarse plates keep joints and bowls burning slow and even.

How do I clean it?

Because there are no teeth, cleaning is a wipe with a soft brush and, when needed, a soak of the plate and screen in isopropyl alcohol. Hand washing keeps the finish new.

Is it genuinely imported, and what’s the warranty?

Yes. Dixie Jane imports Flower Mill directly from the manufacturer in the USA; we are the exclusive South African importer. Any manufacturing fault is handled by us in Cape Town rather than shipped back overseas.

What is the #3 Medium plate good for?

It is the all-rounder: fine enough for an even joint, coarse enough that a bowl doesn’t clog. Vaporiser users usually add a #1 or #2; slow-burn joint rollers add a #4 or #5.

Why choose the Stainless Series over the aluminium?

The milling chamber, the part the flower actually touches, is food-grade stainless rather than anodised aluminium. It is harder, takes no colour or odour from resin over the years, and can be soaked or boiled clean indefinitely. The exterior is still aircraft-grade aluminium to keep the weight sensible.
